Positional Words Books are a fun, hands-on approach to practicing literacy (and math) skills! Save big and get the BUNDLE!
Students use their fine motor skills to cut out the given pictures and glue them in the appropriate position on each page. Once the pictures are glued in, students can color in a background and practice reading their book. There are two formats included with each book: with picture boxes and without picture boxes. This way the books without the picture boxes can be used as an assessment to check student understanding of positional words. Also, the ones without picture boxes are great for your more advanced readers not needing the extra support.
Also included are a set of slides (posters) to introduce each of the positional words in this set!
This ocean animal themed build-a-book includes the positional words:

Positional Words Books make a great center activity, as well as a hands-on assessment! I have students keep their book in their very own book box, so they can practice their reading skills as an independent activity.
