Mimic Me is a fun, interactive transition game that students can play when they need a chance to get up out of their seats. This classroom management tool is great for allowing students to play a game similar to “Simon Says,” except there is NO TALKING involved. The teacher displays a card and students mimic, or copy the displayed pose. If a student makes a noise or doesn’t hold the pose, they have to sit out until the next round.
This set contains 50 different Mimic Me cards. I have used this activity K-6th grade and students LOVE it!!! I created these cards during standardized testing week because I saw how much students needed a break to get up out of their seats. Students loved this activity so much that it became a regular “brain break” in our classroom! These cards can also be taken outside or to a multi-purpose room, to play as a P.E. activity, or left for a substitute as a fun incentive game.
There are two different formats, half-page and full-page for you to choose from! The half-page size is great for printing a stack of Mimic Me Cards to take along outside, on a field trip, etc. The full-page size is ideal for displaying on the LCD projector or large classroom screen.
