Solve It Strips are a FUN, hands-on, NO PREP, math extension activity that keeps students engaged! These can be used as a math center, an early-finisher activity, with a parent-led math group, or as a mini-assessment. Solve It Strips also make fun home practice, too!

This set of Solve It Strips focuses on numbers to 100. There are three strips for identifying numbers to 100 using tally marks, three strips for numbers to 100 using ten frames, three strips for numbers to 100 using base ten blocks, two strips for finding numbers to 100 by identifying the missing number (just before, just after and in between), and three strips that are a mixed review of the above skills.

Students are challenged to use their mental math skills in counting and identifying the number on each strip. Students begin with the “Start” strip and solve for the number that strip. That will lead them to the second strip, and so forth, until students end up with the solution for the “FINISH” strip. Two cover options are included, along with easy directions for storage of Solve It Strips. An answer key is also provided for easy checking and a fun Solve It Strip tracker page for students to celebrate their progress!
