Writer’s Workshop Folders are a tool that I will never teach writing without again! These folders not only help teach students about the writing process, but they allow them to get excited and take pride in their writing as an author! Writer’s Workshop Folders are ideal for grades 1-6 (but can be used 8-12) and I’ve even had kindergarten teachers adapt them for beginning writers. Out of all my “tools and tricks” I have shared at staff developments, this resource is hands-down the ultimate favorite!
Included in this file are:
*Step-by-step instructions (with pictures) on how to create these folders
*Editor’s Marks tool sheet (UPDATED: now two design choices)
*Word Choice tool sheet (UPDATED: now two design choices)
*Two differently designed sets of title labels for each pocket of the folder
*Two differently designed sets of 36 labels for the cover of student folders
UPDATED: Another label size option added! (Avery 5163, 2×4 labels – both for title labels as well as cover labels).
