This Synonym Match Activity is a fun, interactive way to introduce, teach, or review synonyms! Just cut out the included synonym cards, mix them up, and then give each student one card. Let students get up and move around the room (or take them out to the MPR or field) to find their matching synonyms. OR, you can play “I have, who has” with these cards.
As a fun extension activity students work together to create a page for the Class Book of Synonyms. Differentiated pages are included depending on your students’ skill level. Once book pages are complete, you can assemble for a class book to put in your library.
