Digraph Stick Words

Description

DIGRAPH Stick Words are a fun, hands-on way for students to build confidence in reading, spelling and writing digraph words.This activity is a perfect “warm-up” for a small guided reading group or as a literacy center in the classroom.

Students manipulate five popsicle sticks (with the digraphs ch, sh, th, wh and ck written on them) until they have correctly made five correct words on the card. Once a card is completed, an optional tracker booklet can be used to celebrate and monitor student progress, as well as provide extra practice for writing and reading digraph words. Included in this file are two sets, one with picture clues and one without. This allows for easy differentiation. I have also included two printing options to make it easier to print multiple or single sets at a time.
