Finding math activities that truly challenge elementary students and keep them engaged can be a challenge—especially when you need something quick and simple to prep. That’s exactly why teachers love Logic Picture Puzzles for math. They’re easy to implement, highly engaging, and push students to think beyond basic computation.

Each puzzle requires students to use logic, critical thinking, and math skills to solve task cards—keeping minds engaged and brains working.
Students aren’t just practicing addition and subtraction; they’re learning how to analyze, reason, and problem-solve in a meaningful way.
These Logic Picture Puzzles for math are a low-prep activity and perfect for:
- Early finishers
- Math centers
- Morning work or warm-ups
- Enrichment without extra planning
HOW TO USE LOGIC PICTURE PUZZLES:
⭐️ Print out the puzzle cards (black and white or color included) and place them in your early-finisher station, put them on a book ring, OR, tape the puzzle cards up around the room and let students move around as they solve each card (my favorite way to use them!).
⭐️ Students use the recording sheet to write down their answers as they solve for the value of each picture on the Logic Puzzle Cards.
⭐️ Once students finish, they can self-check their answers with the answer key.

These puzzles will challenge students to use their addition and subtraction skills, developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between the two operations.
